Good dog. This distinctive, post-war dog sculpture has an introspective but, ultimately, life affirming spirit. Reduced to essentials, this skeletal, talismanic figure is paradoxically weighty. It seems to dematerialize into light reflected off of the vigorously eroded impasto surface. Elongated lines soften and blur the boundary between the object and the space that surrounds it. Bronzed metal. White marble base.
